When recently developing my philosophy of leadership, I began by naming Zakiya as a leader I admire.  Zakiya has a knack for pushing my thinking forward using lean questions and creating a safe space for reflection.  She knows how to mobilize and energize a leadership team with shared purpose, distributed responsibilities, and review of outcomes.  And she’s just plain cool.  Zakiya is a person you want to spend time with personally and professionally.
